An Ofsted report in 2005 valued the product as ‘particularly
good practice’
The product has 4 levels and is an easy complete
course for the Academic Year with each subject
and each lesson mapped out for the teachers.
It integrates the traditional classroom approach
with a lively, enjoyable multimedia tool.
The key benefits of using Investigating Languages

Primary schools do not need
to employ language specialists to teach a course
and therefore keeps their costs down

the students with a good foundation in Modern

use, with clear simple guides for the teacher
It has already received
good reviews by Ofsted and has been heralded
by many modern language specialists.
It maintains the interest
of students throughout the course

Activity Centre
The Activity
Centre is the perfect classroom tool
for teaching students at Keystage 1 level.
It is ideal for teaching children numeracy and
literacy skills, first words or vocabulary building
in either English or in the introduction to a second
modern language, of which there are many to choose
from. Schools can purchase a word cards in different
languages to build a multi-lingual approach which
is an ideal pathway to Keystage 2 and our ‘Investigating
Languages’ product.
Children can be taught either on a 1-2-1 basis
or in groups in a fun ‘game style’ manner.
The latest version of the Activity Centre has ‘bar-coded’ word
card sets, which can be read by a hand held device.
The children therefore are able to see the word
or characters on the cards and hear the sound of
the word or character. The purpose of the exercise
is to match word cards with the corresponding word
cards that have been put on the Activity Centre
board.
The latest version of this multi-purposed tool
can be purchased by schools using e-learning credits.
